Diverse trail that includes downhill, level and uphill hiking. Begins at Stanislaus Meadow Forest Rd 8N13 east of Lake Alpine on Hwy 4. The first 1.5 miles are fairly level taking you through a beautiful alpine meadow before it begins a somewhat strenuous ascent. Beautiful alpine lake great fro swimming. Campsites are scattered around the lake shore.
