With Hermitfest behind us, it’s time to look toward Fall. Fall is a fantastic time to visit our higher elevation locations. It’s still a little early for all the beautiful color but there’s still time to enjoy the lovely fall weather while you hike, paddle, or just enjoy the views. Don’t forget to bring some warmer layers as it’s getting pretty chilly at night now.

This event is produced by Sierra Chef, bringing together talented local artists, crafters, producers, growers, and non-profit organizations in one dynamic marketplace. The market offers an incredible opportunity for attendees to engage with a diverse array of artistic expressions, discover unique handcrafted treasures, and support the thriving arts community. This event is sponsored by Alpine County Behavioral Health. Montgomery Street will be closed to through traffic from 7 am to 3 pm.
Volunteer Work Day on the Arnold Rim Trail – The September 19th monthly trail workday will be a joint effort with another volunteer trail organization called Volunteers for Outdoor California or VoCal. The VoCal organization conducts weekend long trail maintenance and construction projects for public agencies throughout California. This month VoCal will be bringing their army of volunteers to the Arnold Rim Trail to assist our local ARTA volunteers with trail maintenance in the Sunset loop area of the Arnold Rim Trail system.
