Murphys Open House – Join us in downtown Murphys to kick off the holiday season from 5-8 pm – The road will be closed, the firepits will be lit, and we’ll be ready to welcome you but, sadly, there will be no parade or Santa photos this year. However, rumor has it that Santa may be walking around town that evening so be especially watchful when you’re near the Murphys Historic Hotel.

Live Music on the Rooftop at Boyle MacDonald from 6-8 pm.

Live Music in the Lobby at the Watering Hole from 5-7 pm featuring Sequoia.

The CWA Visitor Center will be open 5-8 during Open House w some cider and treats. They will also be kicking off a “Wine Country Weekend Giveaway” contest.  Stop by and get all the details.

Meet Santa at V Restaurant – Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there from 5-7:30 pm. Bring a toy for the annual Marine Corps Toys For Tots toy drive that benefits children in Calaveras County. For every bike donated, you will receive a $15 off coupon for the restaurant. The children can meet Santa and will receive a hot chocolate goodie bag.

The Murphys Irish Pub hosts live music every Friday night as well.  They will have a food donation box at the pub for donations to The Resource Connection’s Food Bank and will be serving warm apple cider and cookies. Graham and Laura will be singing Christmas carols from 4-6 pm on the piano at the pub followed by Mario Flores’ live Latin Jazz band from 7-10pm.  Visit GoIrishInMurphys.com for their full event calendar.

Santa is coming to town on December 4th! Stop by a Winter Wonderland in the Arnold Plaza with hot chocolate, treats, and Santa on hand for pictures from 5-7 pm.  Join them in the Arnold Plaza near El Vaquero, Linda’s Loft, Hinterhaus, and High Sierra Framing +Gallery. Ironstone Heritage Museum Celebrates its 25th Anniversary on Saturday with a FREE Appraisal Clinic hosted by Holabird Americana.  Also, Ceramic Artist June Vaughn will be on site Saturday creating her beautiful necklaces as Art in Action and Meet n Greet.  10 – 4 for both activities on Saturday with the Free Clinic running Sunday also from 10 – 1pm. Famous Author, Robin Holabird features a book reading and book signing of her newest book from 4 – 5 in the Heritage Room on Saturday as well. Ovations will return this winter and they’re going to make the first concert a party! The popular trio, Golden Bough will present “A Celtic Christmas” in the Alhambra Music room at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. We invite you to join the Arts Council for a champagne reception at 2:00 p.m. and the concert at 3:00 p.m. on December 5. This is a fundraiser to support our music programs.  Get your tickets here.
