Bear Valley Trail Stewardship Clean Up Day – Saturday, July 16, 2022

Saturday, July 16th – 8:30am
“Divide & Conquer” Trail Work Day with complimentary lunch

Join us (the Bear Valley Trail Stewardship group) for a morning of trail work on Saturday, July 16th, to finish repairs on several local trails. Bring your family and friends as we have tools and work for all skill levels.  We will be raking the tread, lopping branches and brush, fixing drains, and cleaning up the remaining work on trails leading to the BV Village.

The Death Ride is coming to Lake Alpine on Saturday, so we’ll avoid that area.

Trail work will be followed by a complimentary lunch sponsored by the Bear Valley Trail Stewardship with good food, good friends, and refreshments.

WHEN– Trail Work from 8:30 to 12:30 next Saturday – 7/16, followed by a 1:00 pm trail workers lunch at the picnic tables next to the Bear Valley Adventure Center.

NOTE–  Please park in the lot by the frisbee golf course, so we don’t crowd out Adventure Center customer parking.

MEET at the Bear Valley Adventure Center (BVAC – aka: the gas station) at 8:30 am for a short introduction and tool safety briefing.  From there, we will divide up and carpool to the job sites. We usually knock off by noon and return by 12:30 pm for a complimentary trail workers lunch.

WHO– Bring friends and family, as there are working levels for everyone. Come out and help get our trails back in shape!

DON’T FORGET– gloves, hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, long pants, water, and snacks. Many tools will be provided but may be in short supply, so if you have your own, please bring your rakes, picks, and loppers. Be sure to mark all tools with your name.
