Arnold Independence Day Parade & Festival – July 7, 2018
Saturday, July 7, 2018 – The Arnold Independence Day Parade and Sierra Nevada Arts & Crafts Festival gets started with the Ebbetts Pass Lion’s Club’s pancake breakfast at 7:30 am. The classic, small-town parade with vintage cars, local businesses, emergency services, schools and civic organizations represented begins at 10:00 am at the east end of town on Highway 4 and ends at Cedar Center to the west. You’ll want to get there early to find your perfect spot.
Visitors should be aware that Highway 4 will be closed from Meadowview Road to Pine Drive in Arnold during the parade. The closure is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon.) Eastbound traffic will be detoured from SR-4 to Meadowview Road, Moran Road, and back to SR-4, and vice-versa for westbound traffic.
The Ebbett’s Pass Lion’s Club will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7:30 am – 11 am on both Saturday & Sunday.
The Sierra Nevada Arts & Crafts Festival will also be ongoing on both Saturday & Sunday. Situated among the pines and redwoods by Bristol’s Ranch House Cafe, the Festival features over 50 booths of original crafts & art of all kinds: woodwork, metal sculpture, yard art, pottery, jewelry, quilts, chain-saw sculptures, soaps & spa essentials, fine art, clothing, scarves, dolls, birdhouses/feeders, fused glass plates & windchimes, hand-painted furniture, photography, kid’s toys, hats, purses, succulents, leather, – just to name a few! – ALL exhibited by the artists. There’s a great variety of gourmet foods to sample and face painting & henna for the kids – or ‘adult’ kids. Adding to the festivities will be live music by the Magnolia Rhythm Trio off and on throughout the day.
