4th of July Weekend on the Pass

With beautiful weather projected for the Independence Day weekend, it’s sure to be busy here this weekend.  There will be lots to do in Calaveras and Alpine counties so check out the full calendars at GoCalaveras and AlpineCounty but here are a few highlights to pique your interest:

Thursday Night Craft Fair & Music at Bistro Espresso in Arnold with live music. Join them after hours for the Bistro 2022 Summer Concert series! Food will be served at 5:30 & music starts at 6:00. No entry fee. Outside food and beverage are prohibited. Please bring chairs or blankets, seating will be limited. The Bistro Creamery, located in the Cedar Center, will be open till 9:00 p.m.

First Fridays in Murphys Community Park featuring live music by Two Hoots & A Hollar and food by Murphys Community Club.  The event begins at 5:30 pm

Arnold Independence Day Parade – What has traditionally been the largest and longest parade in Calaveras County is back and better than ever for 2022! It will be back to its regular cozy confines of Hwy 4 from the Arnold Byway to Cedar Center. The Parade will start at 10am on July 2nd and it’s still not too late to get your entry in and join the parade. GABA will be limiting the parade to the first 100 entries.

50th Annual Arnold Arts & Crafts Faire in the Bristols Parking lot under the trees from 10am-5pm.

Live Music at Jazz Cellars Tasting Room starting Memorial Day Weekend through the end of October on every Saturday from 3-6pm. Check the website at jazzcellars.com for more details.

Free Fishing Days CDFW (California Department of Fish & Wildlife)offers 2 free fishing days a year. Saturday, July 2nd, and Saturday, September 3rd. On free fishing days, you can fish without a sport fishing license. Visit CDFW  for more information.

Fireworks & Independence Day Celebration at Ironstone Vineyards – Mark your calendar for THE MOST amazing fireworks display around! Gather your family and friends for: Fireworks, food, drinks, wine activities, craft vendors, live entertainment and more!  Gates open at 2 pm.

Ebbetts Pass Fire District annual fundraiser featuring a Tri-Tip dinner will be held on the lawn behind Bistro Expresso, 1225 Oak Circle in Arnold.   In addition to a delicious dinner, participants will enjoy other activities including live music by the Burn Permit Band!!

Monday, July 4, 2022 – Independence Day!

The Moke Hill July 4th Parade is a quintessential small-town-America Independence Day celebration in the charming historic downtown of Mokelumne Hill. Taking place along Main Street in this pretty Gold Rush town makes this parade one of the most picturesque you can imagine. Enjoy food, live music, and vendors plus fun kids activities like a watermelon eating contest and water relay race for a celebration to remember.
