Duck Lake

A small lake just within the boundary of the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness, Duck Lake is a gentle and accessible walk. The trail begins at the Silver Valley Trailhead (turn left on the road located at Lake Alpines eastern end, just beyond the Chickaree Day Use Area). Early in the season the meadow and portion of the trail that flank the lake becomes wet, muddy and generally brimming with mosquitos. Flowers dot the meadow in spring and the changing leaves of an aspen grove provide autumn color on this pleasant walk.
