Road Work in Arnold and Beyond July 17-21, 2017

July 14, 2017 – TRAFFIC ADVISORY for State Route 4 from Willow Street  to The Arnold Byway in Calaveras County 

Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound State Route 4 from Willow Street to the Arnold Byway for utility work.

Work will begin Monday, July 17, 2017, through Friday, July 21, 2017, from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays.  Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible. 

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY for State Route 4 from Upper Moran Road  to Calaveras Big Trees State Park 

Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound State Route 4 from Upper Moran Road to Calaveras Big Trees State Park entrance for construction activities.

Work will begin Monday, July 17, 2017, through Friday, July 21, 2017, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.   

Motorists should expect 10 minute delays.  Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

The work at this location is part of a project that will install retaining walls for sediment control, improve culverts and drainage, and re-construct roadside shoulders along a half-mile segment of SR-4, near Calaveras Big Trees State Park.

Work is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2017. This $7.3 million project has been awarded to K.W. Emerson, Incorporated.
